What makes Front & Halo-Lit work
Front-and-back-lit letters (also called face-and-halo lit) combine two lighting effects in one character: the acrylic face glows forwards while light also passes through the back onto the wall, laying a soft ring of light around every letter. The result feels three-dimensional, premium and stays readable even against bright backgrounds.
This construction suits logos on dark facades, reception walls and brands that want a deliberate evening presence. We build to your logo file and show you in the design preview how the light will sit on your wall.

The face
The acrylic face of every letter glows forwards.
The halo
Light also passes through the back onto the wall. With 2–4 cm of stand-off a clean ring of light forms.
Two colours
Face and halo can glow differently, for example white to the front and your brand colour behind.
Minimum size
From about 10 cm letter height. Below that we recommend halo-only letters or LED neon.

Colour combinations that work
Choosing the two colours separately is what makes this construction special. Combinations that have proven themselves:
- White face, brand-colour halo: the lettering stays neutral and easy to read while the coloured halo carries the brand.
- Brand-colour face, white halo: the face shows your brand colour and the white halo lifts the logo off a dark wall.
- White face and halo: classic and timeless, suits any facade.
The stand-off makes the halo
The letters sit on stand-offs of about 2–4 cm. A small gap gives a narrow, strong halo; a larger gap gives a soft, wide one. The wall matters too: smooth, light render reflects the halo cleanly, while rough brick or dark timber absorbs some of the light.
This is where dual-lit letters earn their keep. Even if the halo is weaker on a dark wall, the glowing face keeps the logo clearly readable. We plan the stand-off from a photo of your wall so the halo looks the way it does in the design preview.
Indoors and outdoors
Outside, face- and halo-lit letters stand out on hotel entrances, showrooms and restaurants. Inside, behind a reception desk for instance, full brightness is often too much. A dimmer solves that: strong by day, softer in the evening. For very small lettering under 10 cm high, we'd rather use LED neon than built-up letters.
