Sterling & Crown is set across several lines – the main words large, the ampersand small in between. This layout works particularly well for compound names and needs noticeably less wall width than one long single line.
We set your restaurant name the same way: multi-line, with type sizes tuned to each other, in a width that fits your wall. An extra line such as the founding year or a location can be added.
In dining rooms with high ceilings it pays to hang the sign a little higher than usual – the glow then spreads across the wall rather than only over the tables below.
Two-line names need less width but a little more clearance above. We give you the dimensions before approval.
Many venues later add a smaller sign in the entrance or waiting area so guests see the name on arrival. We produce that from the same artwork at a reduced width.
